I went to the Dollar general tonight and had a issue. The Manager of the store would not take a manufacture coupon with their DG coupon her statement to me was "We do not double coupons. I didn't ask her to double it it was stacked. I didn't argue and just asked for my coupons back and i didn't want the stuff. She then got mad and didn't understand why I wouldn't want the product even with one coupon. I said "JUST give me my coupons back.!
I just found this out but most of the time a digital coupon is a manufacturer coupon. What they mean is you can use a DC/ ( manufacturing coupon) and a store paper coupon on the same item
Why does their website say they take internet coupons and then not? I printed the policy and will keep it in my binder from now on. Plan to do it with a number of stores.
Biggest problem I see is that cashiers do not know the policy or tell you what they want to keep from having to fool with you. I sent an email to the home office. Will let you know what I hear if anything!
Where i live the Dollar General store employees are very rude to you when you use coupons. I even heard them say to each other in front of me that they hate people who use coupons, and their prices are so cheap we should pay full price. I have complained to Dollar General. They fight you tooth and nail over coupons.
I don't believe it's the stores, some employees just don't like accepting coupons. Can be any grocery store. sometimes i show up at the cashier with coupons and you can see by the expression on their face that they don't like to ring up coupons.
If cashiers at grocery stores don't feel like taking my coupons, its their problem. I have my family to feed and when you are on a budget every penny counts.
Well said.
I live in Texas and the DG takes all kinds of coupons from the paper to the internet and everywhere in between.
I live in eastern Iowa. I had computer printed coupons for Mega T Green Tea Gum – $1.00 off one pack of gum. I only used one coupon per visit. The DG store, where I do most of my DG shopping, would take the printed coupon for the gum.
Now, DG no longer carries this particular gum; just wondering why, now that those coupons are offered on the Mega Green Tea site, why DG has discontinued the gum. DG was the only place I could find it as Wal-mart, Walgreens, Target, etc. did not carry it, they only have the Mega Green Tea diet stuff.
You should ask your store manager about this inventory issue.
I just used some coupons printed online at DG in texas. I was so excited that they actually honored it. thanks DG
The DOLLAR GENERAL I shop at in Pennsylvania will accept ANY kind of coupon I take there. The employees are not rude and they are happy to take all of my coupons. I try to make it easier for them by handing them the coupon with the corresponding item and I have never had any trouble.
To all you DG employees, you need to read your coupon policy, it clearly says that you DO take internet coupons.
To all customers, print out the coupon policy to show the employees if they give you trouble.
Go here and print their coupon policy, clearly states that they accept internet coupons printed at home.

I have tried using computer printed coupons at my local DG stores in Alabama and they would not accept them and acted like it was a pain for them to accept any coupon at all. Why do they even bother to post them if they will not accept them.
Coupons for dollar general must be from the original http://www.dollargeneral.com site only. There are so many fraudulent coupons on the internet. dollar general does not accept internet coupons unless it has been offered from the dg site itself.
Anytime dollar general corp. is offering a special coupon deal, they inform their store employees that there has been an internet coupon from dg approved and what it consists of. Otherwise, all other internet coupons are not accepted. Regular coupons you clip from your newspapers, magazines, etc.. are accepted too at your local dg store.
