Redbox is a DVD rental program with a physical appearance. Its 36,000 self-service kiosks are available in or out of grocery shops, convenience stores, department stores, and mass-marketing sites. Redbox was founded in 2002 and initially had two forms of vending machines in McDonald’s restaurants: one that leased DVDs and one that sold convenience store products such as milk and shampoo. It shut down the convenience store kiosks and started using the Redbox name for the DVD kiosks the next year.

Redbox’s business strategy is based on the focus on new launches, the lowest available costs, and does not include a monthly fee. In 2008, a deal was made for most big movie studios to get new DVDs on or around the release day of 28 days. Customers can book movies online or just select from what’s available at a kiosk.

What Are Redbox Points?

Redbox gives points to its users for renting or purchasing movies/shows from its channels. You can use these points on its physical kiosk to rent or purchase DVDs for free.

Redbox provides a lot of such promotions to its clients. You can conveniently search for them by clicking on the DEAL( dropdown) option. Besides, Redbox offers a Free Live TV option and you can also rent or purchase movies and shows from it.

How to Get Redbox Points?

After one purchase at the box, the approximate points you won will be seen on your receipt.

Each film has a different number of points, based on the price, success, and time of the release of the film. Since you have returned your rent and made a satisfactory deposit, your points will be applied within 24-48 hours.

On-Demand points pass quicker – and they’ll be ready right after you make a good purchase.

To see how many points you’ve won, go to My Account > My Perks. Your points will expire 12 months from the date of their earnings in the Perks scheme. The 12-month time span will begin on the date of completion of the transaction (not the date the points appear in your account).

On the other hand, all of the points will expire after 6 months of inactivity. So, make sure you redeem all of your points before it expires.

To make sure that you remain active:

  1. Rent a DVD, Blu-Ray, or 4 K UHD Disc
  2. Purchase a movie in Redbox
  3. Make an on-demand purchase

How to Use Redbox Points?

  • You should start redeeming free stuff as soon as you have at least 1,500 points remaining. To reclaim your points in the box, just sign in to Redbox Perks and press the Use Points button.
  • You may also head to the Redbox website or the mobile app to use points and make an online booking.

You win various badges at Redbox, based on your activity on this website.

What Are Redbox Badges?

Redbox Perks users will be awarded “Star” status after making 10 rentals or sales per calendar year. ‘Superstar’ and ‘Legend’ can be reached by making 20 and 50 rentals or sales per calendar year. Once participants have achieved each status, they will receive an exclusive welcoming present and bonus chances to win points and prizes. In addition to winning free DVDs, Blu-rays, and game rentals, representatives of Redbox Benefits will soon be able to select prizes from their Redbox partners.

Under Redbox Perks, instead of earning points per rental, consumers can now earn points per night. In addition, consumers now can gain higher point values while purchasing Blu-rays and video games.

Badges are part of the Perks package and can be won with some kind of activity. Badges are terrific to win on their own, but Superstars and Legends still get points for a badge that is earned.
