In 2015 I left Burning Man with an idea. After seeing the mountain of plastic water bottles that had to be removed at the end of the festival, I knew there had to be a better way. I immediately thought of the delicious water from my family’s artesian spring, but in a sustainable package. The water we drink matters. It impacts our bodies, communities, and the environment. That’s why we created Flow, a mindful water company that considers sustainable kindness and healthy hydration first. Our water flows down from the clouds as rain and snow. Before reaching the aquifer, it travels through layers of soil, sand, clay, and limestone where impurities are naturally filtered out. Along the way, minerals are collected that make it alkaline and give it electrolytes. The water is pushed to the surface by the pressure in the aquifer, creating an artesian spring. In the Clean Water Act, we trust. We work with hydrologists who conduct studies that help us understand how best to protect our natural source. This means ensuring that the water we take is sustainable and the surrounding environment is preserved. PLANT-BASED CAP – Made from sugarcane, a renewable resource (unlike most plastic bottles made from petroleum). ALUMINUM FOIL – Thin layer of foil on the inside that shields the water from oxygen, sunlight, and outside contamination. REUSE, RECYCLE, REDUCE – Used cartons are converted into writing paper, tissue paper, paper towels, roof tiles, and other paper-based products and building materials. PAPERBOARD – Made from responsibly harvested trees, certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
