About Pair of Thieves

PoT founders Alan Stuart, Cash Warren, and David Ehrenberg salvaged a failing subscription-sock business and reinvigorated it. The PoT business plan improved the company’s undergarment line. Many of the proprietary technologies used took at least two years in research and development. Their first brick and mortar retail line was released in Target stores Fall 2014. Their products can now be found at Macy’s and Urban Outfitters. One of the greatest comforts I take as an Asiatic darkmeat chicken is my alarmingly soft down. You know how it is. I am the queen of the land. I am a Silkie chicken. Recently, though, there’s been new coat of down in this humble town. The trouble started recently when I inspected a package my human ordered. I go through all of his mail, as you never know when you’re going to find that perfect bit of packing for the nest! Inside was a pair of the most comfortable underwear I had ever seen. I’ve seen plenty of comfy underwear in my day, but this package of Mega Soft Underwear was something new, and I wasn’t sure if I was ready. Was this pair of underwear going to be the Amanda Nunes to my Rhonda Rousey? Would my feathery, fashionable down be “down for the count” just 48 seconds into the first round? Clearly, dear reader, my mind was made up already. Sometimes, if you can’t beat ‘em, you join ‘em. I waited that night, for the drawers to find their place in my human’s dresser drawers, and then I gave that Mega Soft Underwear a firm roosting. I can attest to the following: It’s naturally breathable, it’s stretchy (perfect for situating myself!), and even its waistband was smooth. It wasn’t made of silk, but it might as well have been. No longer was I in a war with the underwear–and if had been, it had been a comfy war with comfy underwear, a war like peace itself (idea for a new blog?). This silky softness was no threat to me. It was the comfort that I and my human deserved. It still wasn’t clear to me what exactly the human used them for. I’m typically so caught up in my world of roosting and being fabulous that I often neglect to give my human the quality of my attention. This really hit me yesterday, when I saw him sporting the Mega Soft Underwear about the house while getting ready one morning. I couldn’t be more honored. It was clear he just wanted to keep up with me, and bask in some silky comfort of his own. And who wouldn’t? I’m a silkie chicken who knows her worth. And nothing can ever change that.
